I couldn't resist heading back out to spend time with the moon after walking Sparkle. I didn't go alone, though, and took out 70-200 with me to see what it could do under low light. Hand held! I'm more than pleasantly pleased, and it felt great to be carrying this big lens again. Thank you to a dear friend for sending it my way. x
Appreciating what I see today while digging deep into the archives to locate my earliest photography.
Welcome to Timeline Photos. A few years back I started peeking around my archives in search of some of the first photographs I had taken. Here records my quest into better understanding my long term love of camera and experiencing the world with it in hand. All photos appear in chronological order hopefully revealing an evolution of how I see and what moves me to speak with light.

The kindness of the moon and clouds

Midnight Drambuie Session
Last night's LED takeoff incorporated an empty wine glass for effects. Tonight it contained Drambuie for the sake of investigation and experimentation, but also for warming consumption. A DSLR in hand and a filled glass are centering indeed.
I really like the mood of these shots and their painting quality. I'm reminded somewhat of the gorgeous mix of water and light in 'Elements'. The alcohol works with the LED lights to create distortions and lovely smears of color. Minimal processing was used with the RAW files (which I'm using more consistently).
*Note: Looking forward to a productive workflow in 2016. Commit to blogging well. :))
